Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) & Ventilation system Installations

MVHR systems offer several advantages. Not only do they improve ventilation and reduce condensation, dampness, and mould problems, but they also enhance the overall air quality inside the home. Additionally, these systems decrease the reliance on heating systems since the fresh air is pre-warmed before being circulated throughout the property. By implementing these systems, we can create healthier and more comfortable living environments while effectively addressing the problems associated with poor ventilation.

One of the root causes of damp and mould in our homes is poor ventilation, preventing moist air from escaping, and creating issues within the building fabric and health of the occupants. In most cases, prevention is much easier than the cure when it comes to damp and mould.

Single Room Heat Recovery Ventilation (SRHRV) extracts air from wet areas which passes over a tubular heat exchange cell. The cell enables the air to cyclone around the barrel, and the heat from the extracted air is retained in the cell allowing fresh air supplied through the tubes to collect up to 75% of the heat from the extracted air.

Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) is the most effective method of curing and preventing condensation dampness. Installed in over 1 million homes, PIV is the UK’s most popular method of low-energy, whole-home ventilation. The PIV works by gently introducing fresh, filtered air into the dwelling ensuring that old, contaminated moisture laden air is continuously diluted, displaced and replaced with good quality air.

Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) – In addition to the above ventilation solutions, we also install MEV and continuous extract solutions. The result from having the correct ventilation solution installed for your property type is improved air quality, and a healthy living environment in which condensation (a major contributor to mould) cannot exist.

The LCX engineers, Michael, and his colleague attended to remove and re-install our solar panels due to our roof being renewed. They were very professional and courteous, liaising with myself and roofing contractors throughout to ensure works were carried out with minimum disruption and on time.
