Large Scale Project of the Year 2023, alongside Exeter City Council.

We’re so proud to have won the Large Scale Project of the Year award at the South West National Energy Efficiency Awards 2023, for our multi-measure project for Exeter City Council. This project has been a mammoth collaborative effort between Low Carbon Exchange, Exeter City Council and CLC Contractors, delivering multiple Renewable and Fabric Insulation measures to nearly 650 homes over the last 4 years. This proof of concept scheme has delivered remarkable results, vastly improving the thermal and energy efficiency performance of residents homes and taking a number of properties to a carbon positive status.

The success of this project has been amplified by the positive feedback from the residents. Having reported lower energy bills, homes that retain heat better, and a much healthier environment within the properties. Demonstrating that an effective stream of works and ventilation strategy had been delivered to their homes.

LCX also collected a ‘Highly Commended’ award for the Insulation and Fabric Installer/Contractor of the Year. Our Insulation division has worked hard all year to deliver Insulation programmes, major energy efficiency retrofit schemes, incorporating the fabric first approach, under PAS2035.
